A made-by-me skirt to for the casual after-work but classy look. The lined maxi skirt hugs the curves just up to the knees and then flares nicely all the way to the floor at the back. It cascades from the knee to the floor in front, making the skirt open up to show a hint of legs as you stride.
T-shirt was from Marks and Spencer and belt from NEXT.
I went a bit OTT and made a matching necklace and earrings from the fabric remnants.
Material: pink and lilac African print fabric (popularly known as Ankara) with taffeta lining
Time to make: 3 hours…
Pattern: Any pencil skirt pattern will do – cut and adapt below knee for cascading flare.
